Letter From The Director: |

It is always a pleasure to take this time and spend a few minutes keeping you updated on what is happening at NWHC. Most of you are aware that we are not able to meet training needs in the timely manner that we aim to make our goal. We are in a crunch with staff illness, our behavioral health specialist off on leave, a new nurse learning the role of the HCQU, and the necessity of getting the HRP’s completed. We appreciate your support and patience during the next couple months. Also, we appreciate your working with us and sending the minimum of 5 people to trainings. I know this is difficult for many of you as you are short staffed, illness has occurred, or for whatever reason. We appreciate your calling to inform us of the need to cancel a training and understanding the cost involved for the HCQU’s budget when there are not 5 people at a training. With the ever increasing cost of gasoline and our expenses climbing at the HCQU, we ask that you continue to support us by having a minimum of 5 people at each training or calling to let us know ahead of time that you can not meet this requirement. I want to take this opportunity to thank each provider for your part in getting the HRP’s completed. You know the state draws this random sample of individuals for the HRP. We appreciate the excellent quality of work put into the HRP’s and the support you give NWHC nurse’s in getting the job done. We commend our providers for giving excellent care and support to the individuals we serve in our nine county area. Again, we are here to support staff and individuals. If and individual is struggling, please call the HCQU for technical assistance. We will assist you in promoting quality care and suggestions regarding the physical or behavioral health needs of those you serve. Please remember our event is a “Beach Party” on June 13th at Wildcat Park in Ludlow, PA. We are looking forward to the best event ever. If you have suggestions or ideas on making improvements to the event please call, email, or get them to us. We look forward to seeing you there. Plan on sending staff and individuals to this FREE event with meals provided. May 2008 be a year filled with good things for you. |
