Letter from the director:

I am excited as we plan for the event this year, "Hats Off to Health", which will be held at Wildcat Park on Route 6 in Ludlow, Pennsylvania, on June 18. As staff of Northwest Health Connections and Cameron/Elk/McKean, we put a lot of time and thought into making this event both educational and fun. There is going to be opportunity for staff and individuals to learn and ask questions about safe sex, smoking cessation, and self-advocacy, and view healthy and unhealthy organ models. We also have scheduled speakers and programs throughout the day. We will end the day with a mini-carnival. We have a surprise gift for all individuals who attend and also something special for the staff. The event will take place rain or shine and it is our hope that you plan to be a part of this educational and fun-filled day. It was a priviledge as a Health Care Quality Unit to see the smiles our event "Big Smiles, Healthy Lifestyles" brought to individuals last year. The HCQU and CEM are promising "Hats Off to Health" will be even better and will provide valuable information that will help all who attend. The Wildcat Park Committee is working hard make improvements to the park. We will again have handicapped accessible restrooms. If you have special needs or suggestions that will make your day at the park more enjoyable, we would welcome your suggestions. Please register for the event as soon as possible. We look forward to providing a day for making wonderful memories as well as providing up-to-date information on health related topics. Please remember lunch will be provided. We will also provide a beverages and a morning snack. We also welcome you to come for part of the day if you cannot stay the whole day. The best part of the event is that it is FREE.
