Letter from the Director:

Another fiscal year is upon us and we continue to plan, make changes, and grow. We are happy to announce that Northwest Health Connections will be putting together an email newsletter for Supports Coordinators. Darcee Dunkle, our Nursing Supervisor, will be editing the newsletter, and you won't want to miss the first issue when it comes out. We have also purchased new training videos, models, and materials.

The new Health Risk Profile cycle has begun and the County Directors and provider agencies will be hearing from us when the sample is drawn. The nurses enjoyed working with staff to complete HRPs last year and look forward to working with staff again this year, as well as networking and building new relationships with others. We will again bring all recommendations to you to share our findings and discuss your concerns.

We have a new consulting physician! Dr. William Schultz, from Warren, joined our staff in May and we are happy to have a local doctor as part of our agency. Dr. Schultz will begin providing trainings through NWHC next year. We will inform you when topics, dates, and times are set.

Many thanks for the support and wonderful turnout for "Hats Off to Health". It was terrific to see everyone enjoying the day in the park. Next year's event, "Luau for Life" will be held June 17 at Wildcat Park in Ludlow. If you have any suggestions for this event, please contact Joanne.

Have a wonderful summer. If we can assist you in any way, please feel free to call or email me. Our staff looks forward to providing technical assistance, training, and support to your agency and staff. We look forward to hearing from you concerning your needs.
