Hats Off To Health - 2004
By Brenda Brien

This year's event was a success!! There were over 200 people in the crowd who participated in this year's event. What a wonderful time! This was my first year participating and what a great experience it was. There was dancing, singing, gardening, health booths, mini carnival, performance by assistance dogs, and most importantly...SMILES!!!! Lots and lots of smiles! Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves despite the hot weather and high humidity. According to our surveys, our event was a success.

Wildcat Park will be undergoing some renovations for next year to make it more handicapped accessible. We would like to thank the Park workers for their quick cleanup of trees and debris from the previous night's storm.

We at Northwest Health Connections would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who volunteered their time and to acknowledge the businesses that donated items for the event. Ekey Florist and Big Joe's of Warren, Wal-Mart of Erie, and Green Acres of Union City donated beautiful flowers, and True Value of Warren donated soil, for our gardening booth. Thank you again!!!! What a better world it makes when we have generous people such as yourselves.

Tickle Bone:"

An elderly gentleman was telling his friend about his new hearing aid. He said, "This hearing aid is so good that I can hear a pin drop to the floor 60 feet away."

The friend said, "What kind is it?"

The old man looked at his watch and said, "It's two thirty."
