Let's Connect!
Welcome to Northwest Health Connections
Welcome to our first HCQU Newsletter. We are excited about providing additional services and support to those working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Our staff is busy putting together trainings that have been requested by those who have attended our kickoff presentations. We are proud to say we have presented the HCQU to approximately 250 individuals in our various kickoffs through-out the nine-county area. Warren County was the first to respond to the training schedule. We held four training sessions at our Warren office in July and have reservations for the upcoming trainings that are scheduled for August. Trainings are now scheduled throughout the nine-county area at designated sites. If you   have a room or know of some place trainings can be held, free of charge, please contact our Training Coordinator, Laura Christenson. Our staff is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to provide trainings, support, and assistance to your staff. If I can be of help to you, I encourage you to call and talk with me or schedule an appointment with me to meet with you at your site. We are proud to say we had 100% response from the surveys at the Potter County and Clearfield/Jefferson kickoffs. We appreciate this great response. We look forward to providing you and your staff with professional services and trainings from your Health Care Quality Unit.

Meet Our Staff 3

Northwest Health Connections (NWHC) held our first training sessions the week of July 14 and they were an overwhelming success! Seven people attended the Autism training, presented by Amy Tobolski, on July 16. Bonnie Jewell's Cancer Overview training later that day was a huge success, with nine attendees. On the schedule for July 18 were Bonnie's Cancer Overview training, attended by seven people, and Amy's Family Dynamics session, with six people in attendance.

NWHC would like to thank the folks from Northwest Human Development for making our first week of training such a resounding success.
The NWHC staff is planning some wonderful sessions for the near future. Proposed topics include: Dysphagia, Intro. to Emergency Response (To Call or Not To Call, That Is The Question), Stress Management, and more. Remember, our training sessions are based on your needs, so be sure to let us know what you would like to see covered in future seminars.
If you would like to be added to our newsletter mailing list, please email lcarnahan@northwesthc.org or call 814-728-9400. Thank you!
